Style Dominates!

Wrestling, Kettlebell Training, Jiu-Jitsu--Our Way!

Our Training

As much as we love ice cream, we love designing coherent, focused training that results in what Alcides and Valeria have produced--a 2026 Wrestling State Championship, Strength and Performance Training to result in a 2021 IBJJF black Belt World Championship, and multiple Division 1 athletes and medals at the highest levels of Jiu-Jitsu.

Hardstyle Kettlebell Training

Hardstyle kettlebell training means moving difficult weight quickly. Training sessions are between 30-45 minutes long, and emphasize maximum tension and effort in short sets, resting enough to apply maximum force and move the weight intelligently.

Each session addresses every component of the body's athletic ability--breathing, mobility, dynamic movement, power, strength, and conditioning. Expect plenty of rest to perform everything well.

Jiu-Jitsu

Enjoy

Jiu-Jitsu is a combat sport concerned with control that leads to submission via strangle or joint lock. Class Structure sees a clear problem being posed as a context, instruction addresses possible high probability responses to that problem, and live training follows in which your training partners will try to use their tools to impose that control that leads to a submission, or completion of a clear objective if we are focusing on a specific problem through to live training.

Wrestling

Our approach to designing wrestling practice is simple--a true focus on controlling bad positions, an understanding of high percentage positions and their corresponding high percentage offensive and defensive success keys, as well as understanding how to apply all of this to the wrestler in front of us. No spin drills, no building toughness that is undoubtedly being built in the weight room or your high school practice--just hours of reps into problem solving bad positions technically and mechanically.

Valeria Ramirez

Valeria is the current 2026 New Jersey State Wrestling Champion in the 138 pound weight class. Her brilliant wrestling style is only matched by her ability to prepare others for the same success that she has had. Outside of wrestling, her specialty is in preparing wrestlers using a unique mix of loading with the kettlebell, plyometrics in all directions, and--most importantly--a strong understanding of how to properly structure a session to allow for it attack specific athletic weakness. She is currently wrestling at Kean University.
